Craig K. Shere, CFA CFP (President)

Craig and his wife Ellen have lived in Jersey City, NJ since 2000, where they’ve raised their son born 2003 & daughter born 2006. Through experience with Tony Robbins (founder of Basket Brigade program 40+ years ago) and involvement with local religious community, he was began a local Basket Brigade effort in 2014. His family regularly volunteers at the Jersey City Grace Church shelter weekend breakfast program. Craig’s career began as a retail Financial Consultant in the Midwest, followed by six years with Standard & Poor’s in New York, and various Wall Street related roles since 2004. He earned an MBA from NYU in 2002, has been a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1998, and Certified Financial Planner since 1994.

Sharad Hedge (IT/Treasurer)

Sharad Hegde’s connection to Jersey City dates back to 1998, when he started work with a technology startup downtown. He’s lived in Jersey City with his two sons since 2006. His community activities have included service from 2015-16 as a local brigade leader with Code for America, a 501(c)3 helping state and local governments improve services and enhance citizen communication through technology solutions. In 2016, he also joined OpenJC as Director of Technology, a Jersey City based minority led enterprise devoted to community improvement through technology-driven solutions. Among his OpenJC efforts was work with the JCPD and Google Ideas to develop software to help identify crime trends in micro neighborhoods in Jersey city. In both 2016 and 2017, Sharad provided material support for JCBB, including shopping at Walmart for specific donation wish list items including kids PJs/winterwear, as well as hygiene and cleaning supplies; storing donations in advance of dropoffs; helping to deliver supplies to the Newark YMCA; and increasing personal monetary contributions. In May 2018, Sharad joined the JCBB Board of Directors.

Dr. Muni N. Tahzib

Mother to three kids, Muni has lived in the Jersey City/Hoboken area since 2002. Given her passion of serving others and helping the less fortunate, Muni has been a pediatric doctor since 1996 and personally organized a number of volunteer medical relief missions through the years (including to post earthquake Haiti, post Hurricane Sandy New Jersey, and post Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico). With her children, Muni has been active with with the Jersey City Basket Brigade since its beginnings in 2014, donating funds, separately bringing thanksgiving pies, and helping with deliveries to homeless families at the Newark YMCA. In 2017, after assisting with our annual Thanksgiving drive, Muni volunteered to drop-off Christmas present donations from our local Mommies Heart-2-Heart partner organization to the Newark YMCA kids.

Analita Mulligan (Secretary)

Analita moved to Jersey City 31 years ago and is a certified English teacher who works with both native and non-native English speakers. Her work took her away from Jersey City for 10 years, when she was living in India, Japan and Colombia. After having taught in various types of public and private institutions for 20 years, she recently started her own English language company. She previously volunteered at the main branch of the Jersey City Public Library, working with illiterate adults, and her very first job out of college was as a grant writer at the York Street Project which serves economically disadvantaged women and children. She is enthusiastic to serve her Jersey City neighbors through the Jersey City Basket Brigade.
